Productizing medical invention. Diagnosing asthma is difficult, particularly in small children, and is based on the physician\u2019s subjective viewpoint. Revenio had a prototype based on doctoral thesis how to make asthma diagnosis in young children easier.<\/p>\n

Solution<\/h2>\n

Atostek developed software and productised the Matlab-based calculation method for Revenio\u2019s Ventica asthma diagnosis product. Work included developing web-based service for initializing, performing and reporting the measurements and developing the communication method between USB-connected measurement device and web service.<\/p>\n

Result<\/h2>\n

Revenio\u2019s Ventica product makes asthma diagnosis easier especially in young children and the marketing approval has been granted to the product. Ventica measures the expiratory flow of breathing as the child sleeps at night and detects changes in respiration that are typical of asthma, helping physicians to diagnose the condition and determine the optimal medication for it.<\/p>\n
