Mika Torhola has been elected as the new Chairman of the Board of Atostek

Mika Torhola will start as Chairman of the Board of Atostek Ltd. on September 20, 2024.

Mika Torhola has been elected as the new Chairman of the Board of Atostek. The appointment was confirmed at an extraordinary general meeting held on Friday, September 20, 2024.

Torhola, who has served as the Managing Director of Atostek for 11 years, will continue with the company focusing on the development of new business ventures. In his role as the Chairman of the Board, he brings in-depth experience of Atostek’s business operations and insights into its future prospects.

“Atostek is a wonderful company and it is an honor to take on the role of Chairman of the Board. I consider direct communication between the Managing Director and the Chairman of the Board to be particularly important. As the Chairman of the Board, I must of course remember that I am not part of the operational management – and not to interfere too much,” says Torhola.

Jarkko Niittylahti and Leena Eskola, founders of Atostek, will continue as members of the board. Niittylahti previously served as the Chairman of the Board.

With the change in the board’s composition, Atostek aims to sharpen its strategy and leverage new growth opportunities.
