Atostek wins 3.8 million deal – Selected to supply DVV’s card reader application
Atostek has been selected as the supplier of the card reader software and mobile card reader application for the Digital and Population Information Office (DVV). The total value of the contracts is 3.8 million euros.
The card reader software will enable social and health care professionals, officials from other sectors and citizens to authenticate themselves and sign documents.
The desktop version of the card reader software will be widely used by public health and government authorities throughout the country. In addition, the optional mobile card reader application included in the contract will enable access to patient information systems, for example, even when a professional is not at his or her desk. The app will therefore help social and health care professionals to provide quality care and services in a more flexible way.
Atostek was awarded full quality marks in the tender. The solution provided by Atostek is based on the ERA SmartCard product, a card reader software widely used in Finland.
“It’s great that the card reader software we developed entirely in-house was so competitive. Through this delivery, we will be able to participate in Finland’s next digital leap forward and facilitate electronic transactions for public authorities and citizens in several industries,” says Mika Torhola, CEO of Atostek.
Atostek’s ERA product family is a familiar and widely used service in Finland, especially in the management and processing of customer data in the social and health sector.
