Digia and Atostek won the competitive tendering for renewal of digital information flow in social and health care
The consortium of Digia and Atostek is preparing to deliver a solution for integration and information management to UNA Oy. The initial estimate for the framework agreement is 6 Million euros during four years.
The framework agreement includes the delivery, maintenance and further development of the solution. In addition, UNA Oy has an option for four more years.
The integration and information management solution will develop the social and health services to enhance data utilization. The nationwide solution will remedy the problem of fragmented data at the level of population and individuals in Finland.
The seamless flow of data is the key enabling factor in the society for the renewal of social and health services. The result is better care for individual customers thanks to the health personnel’s comprehensive overall view on customer’s health information.
The solution presented by Digia and Atostek was especially appreciated for its low risk level and the high skills of the designated professionals. The solution was awarded with the highest points for overall quality.
“We at Digia believe that in the future the operation of companies and organisations will be more and more based on digital platforms and networks. The ability to build digital platforms and the inherent integrations is the traditional strength of Digia that is constantly developing. It’s truly remarkable to be part of building the new platform for the Finnish social and health services”, says Mr. Teemu Virtanen, the Senior Vice President at Digia.
“The UNA collaboration is a fine example of modern way of thinking which brings much awaited agility and flexibility into developing information systems for the social and health services. We at Atostek are proud of this unique opportunity to apply our 20 years of experience in developing social and health care information systems and national services in a such remarkable renewal project”, says Mr. Mika Torhola, the Managing Director of Atostek.
The framework agreement will be signed and enter into force after the appeal period.
