Workshop for Wearable Intelligence at TUT
At the end of March 2015, companies, researchers, and students gathered together to find new innovations for Wearable Intelligence at Tampere University of Technology (TUT).
The workshop was titled as “Opportunities and Future Applications Provided by Wearable Intelligence” (Älylasiteknologian mahdollisuudet ja tulevaisuuden sovelluskohteet).
The programme included visions and experiences presented by industrial and academic experts. Mr. Juha Leppänen, Atostek Ltd., illustrated how to apply Google Glass technology to remote maintenance in industry.
-Google Glass technology is well suited for remote expert support. There is a substantial potential for cutting costs and improving quality in industrial maintenance and service by means of Wearable Intelligence, says Mr. Leppämäki.
